The Privilege Ayurvedic Resort caters exclusively to Ayurvedic guests only, and can only host a maximum of 20 in-house guests at any given time. This ensures a truly relaxing holiday, with superior privacy and comfort, and a high degree of personalization as we will be able to serve your individual needs better. Our highly experienced, trained and dedicated Ayurvedic doctors and team members provide a wide range of Ayurvedic and Panchakarma treatments in Sri Lanka for our in-house guests.
Designed by a protégé of renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa, The Privilege Ayurveda Resort is a unique and gorgeous light-flooded colonial mansion with open-air architecture that is fitted with ancestral antique furniture that enhances the authenticity and luxurious feel of the hotel reminiscent of the bygone colonial era. It is surrounded by a stunning palm fringed garden which leads to a picturesque beach on the Indian Ocean. The garden has many small ponds making it a paradise for many squirrels and birds – there are over 20 species of birds that can be spotted in our gardens, including Parrots, House Sparrows, Yellow Fronted Barbets and Intermediate Egrets – a veritable treasure for nature enthusiasts! The garden is flourishing with many flower trees creating a tropical fragrance all throughout the day. These settings create an atmosphere of tranquillity, relaxation and comfort that is ideal for Ayurvedic treatment in Sri Lanka.
We go above and beyond to be environmentally responsible – we do not use chemicals in our fertilizers for tree and grass, and we collect rainwater to irrigate the garden. We also use solar panel solutions to create hot water and make maximum use of natural lighting for all buildings and public areas. We also support the local community in many ways, by sourcing produce from villagers nearby, thus providing them a sustainable form of income. We provide employment and training opportunities to the village youth.
